Boingo Business Intelligence Guru Presents to Payment Execs at DRF

Hundreds of payment executives from some of the largest merchants in the world gathered in San Diego August 5-7, 2013 for the 24th annual Direct Response Forum (DRF).

With a sole focus on payments education (translation: product pitches and marketing propaganda are neither welcome nor allowed at this exclusive event), the DRF is the must-attend conference for top payment professionals who collectively represent billions of dollars in credit and debit card transactions every year [cha-ching!].

Dr. Juliana Tsai, Boingo’s Director of Business Intelligence and Database Systems, delivered the presentation, “Business Intelligence (BI) for the Financial Services Industry.” In addition to covering BI best practices, Juliana shared that half of consumers want banks to use data to provide targeted offers customized to their needs and 71% are getting used to sharing information online with their bank (Infosys).

By the way, when she’s not leading Boingo’s data analytics efforts, you can find the IS/IT wizard publishing papers in academic journals or teaching at the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. With Juliana’s credentials, I wouldn’t be surprised if Mensa came calling…or maybe she’s already a member!
