That’s a wrap on FTE Global and ACI-NA’s Annual Conference, where airport innovation was front and center. Cutting-edge wireless technologies from Boingo were on display throughout these conferences to showcase how airports can modernize and create efficient, passenger-centric travel hubs with next generation 5G and Wi-Fi networks.
As a trusted technology partner on the forefront of wireless technology, Boingo helps airports streamline operations, enhance network security and reliably connect passengers and staff. We connect major airports in the U.S. and around the world, including John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), Nashville International Airport (BNA), Miami International Airport (MIA), London Heathrow Airport (LHR) and more.
Key themes at FTE and ACI included passenger experience and modernization projects. Boingo Chief Commercial Officer Michael Zeto commented on the importance of wireless connectivity for both of these focus areas:
“Coast to coast and around the world, massive modernization projects are underway at airports, where technology investments are a top priority. That’s because airports now operate as their own smart cities where everything is connected, from ride share lots in the parking garage to cameras at security checkpoints and baggage tracking on the tarmac. For more than 20 years, Boingo has revolutionized wireless connectivity in the transportation industry through convergence. Our successful track record pioneering neutral, complex, large-scale DAS and Wi-Fi networks helps airport IT leaders create operational efficiencies, gain access to vital data, and address security concerns and passenger mobile demands.”
To deliver the passenger experience of the future, Boingo can help airports connect next generation use cases including biometrics, autonomous systems, VR/AR and more. Boingo’s Walt Shaw discussed new digital airport applications during FTE Global’s private networks symposium. He highlighted the benefits of private 5G for airports, reviewing landside and airside use cases and real-world applications with Newark Airport Terminal A and Petco Park.
