If you’re an iOS user with an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, our latest Boingo Wi-Finder app update allows you to sign up for Boingo using your existing iTunes account without leaving the app. Two taps and a password gets you unlimited Wi-Fi on all of your iOS devices for $7.99 each month.
So now, the same username, password, and billing information you use to purchase apps, music, and videos on iTunes can be used to buy Wi-Fi access to more than 600,000 hotspots worldwide. You can also sign up for a Boingo monthly subscription at the Boingo website and enter your username and password in the app, if you’d prefer to use a payment method other than iTunes.
The Wi-Finder app – which is required for iTunes account logins – also includes features that secure and simplify all of your Wi-Fi connections on the go:
- Boingo VPN: Keeps your data safe and sound by creating an encrypted tunnel. The Boingo VPN secures your connection over open Wi-Fi networks, so you can breathe easy knowing your data is protected.
- Auto-Login For Subscribers: Speeds up access to the Internet in select Boingo hotspots, where you’ll be automatically logged in for a seamless connection experience. Enable this feature in the app settings, and we’ll open the instant on-ramp for you. (We’ll also notify you if the available hotspot isn’t included in your current plan, so you can opt not to connect.)
- Boingo Network Tag: Helps identify which partner networks are accessible using a Boingo account, like iBahn, BT Openzone, Orange France, and more! With more than 140 partner networks that use over 1,000 different network names, Boingo’s Wi-Finder takes all the guesswork out of which networks your account gives you access to.
I have tried contacting customer care and phoned once about the VPN no longer working on my iPad. It worked until an update was performed by Boingo. I have reinstalled the app with no success. On the phone call, I was told Boingo doesn’t support Mac products. With my emails, my content is not being read. I get a response about not being able to connect to a hotspot. Would you please explain to me if Boingo has a VPN for an iPad/iPhone and if so, why is it no longer working. According to the Boingo website, ISO6 is supported and has been in the past.
Thanks
