The CEA Industry Forum spotlight was on Boingo this week in more ways than one: in addition to Boingo’s participation in the Next Generation Hotspot, What You Need to Know panel, the CEA membership elected Boingo CEO and president David Hagan to the Consumer Electronics Association’s (CEA) 2013 Executive Board.
Dave’s election to the CEA 2013 Executive Board follows his term as a member of the CEA Board of Industry Leaders, and his work as chairman of the Wireless Division of the CEA. Dave has been deeply involved in CEA leadership as a thought leader on wireless and consumer electronics convergence. The company became a member of the industry-leading organization in 2006, and has implemented CEA’s green assessment tool as part of the Boingo’s Citizenship employee programs.
Dave will join his fellow Executive Board members, including Best Buy and Sony Electronics presidents, in bringing his expertise to the preeminent trade association’s leadership, when his term begins in January 2013.
