9:22 AM: Dave Hagan is on the mic! He thanks the applauding crowd and says “it’s a great honor to be here today to ring the NASDAQ Opening Bell.” Dave also gives a shout-out to Boingo’s longest-standing customer (since 2002), Tom Hunt, who is a guest of honor at the ceremony.
9:22 AM: Meanwhile, at Boingo headquarters in Los Angeles, the team watches the Boingo NASDAQ Opening Bell Ceremony via live stream.
9:24 AM: Dave Hagan discusses how Boingo Wi-Fi is benefiting from two macro technology trends: 1) Wi-Fi chips embedded in more and more devices and 2) Wi-Fi enabled devices are consuming massive amounts of bandwidth. These two trends are challenges for cellular wireless networks and opportunities for Wi-Fi networks — in particular Boingo — to help offload that traffic.
9:26 AM: Dave states that “we plan on partying until the end of the year” to celebrate Boingo’s ten-year anniversary. His closing statement: “Without further ado, why don’t we ring the Opening Bell?”

9:29 AM: The suspenseful music plays on, increasing in volume. Someone is counting down…thirty seconds, twenty-five seconds…wait, everyone is laughing because someone told a joke…ten seconds…
9:29:50 AM: Everyone onstage is clapping in anticipation.
9:30 AM: The NASDAQ Bell rings!!!!!! What a melodious sound!
9:31 AM: Break out the champagne!
