Boingo Establishing Strategic Presence Close to Key Customers, High-Tech Talent and Technology Partners

Frisco, Texas, December 19, 2022Boingo Wireless, a leading connectivity provider of distributed antenna systems (DAS), Wi-Fi and private networks, will open a new regional office that will become its corporate headquarters in Frisco, Texas. Boingo is establishing a strategic presence in Frisco to position itself closer to key customers, attract high-tech talent, and leverage the wealth of technology and innovation partners in the state. The company’s new office will be located at The Star in Frisco and will feature approximately 15,000 square feet of office space.

A leader in accelerating digital transformation for enterprise and large venues worldwide, Boingo helps build smart cities from the inside out. The company provides fast, secure, 5G-enabled wireless solutions to airports, healthcare facilities, sports and entertainment arenas, hospitality venues, military bases, and government offices across Texas and around the world.

Earlier this year, Omni PGA Frisco Resort, home to PGA of America, selected Boingo to design, build and manage a neutral host cellular DAS network for the golf resort, scheduled to open in Spring 2023. The Boingo DAS network will bring best-in-class cellular coverage to the large mixed-use property and enable seamless and secure mobile connectivity for staff, players and guests. Boingo also recently announced it is expanding connectivity at Sheppard Airforce Base in Texas – the largest and most diverse training base in air education and training command.

“Expanding our presence in Texas is a strategic move for Boingo,” said Boingo CEO Mike Finley. “We already have long-established partners and employees in the state and opening a new office in Frisco supports our company’s vision and our ability to attract and retain top talent. It will allow us to connect deeply with regional key customers, engage with their communities and understand their unique needs.”

“We are very excited Boingo chose The Star for their Texas office,” said Joe Hickman, President of Blue Star Land. “They join a growing community of tenants that run game-changing businesses from our world-class campus.”

Boingo currently has approximately 30 employees in Texas. To support its continued growth in Frisco and throughout Texas, Boingo will be recruiting people with network, cloud, edge computing, IoT, data analytics, business development and account management experience. The company will continue to maintain regional hubs in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, and Las Vegas.
