COLUMBIA, S.C., Aug. 18, 2020—Boingo Wireless (NASDAQ: WIFI), the leading distributed antenna system (DAS) and Wi-Fi provider, has been named one of the “Best Places to Work in South Carolina.” The prestigious awards program recognized Boingo for its role in benefiting the local economy and serving as a workplace that provides an excellent employee experience.
“Boingo is honored to make South Carolina’s top employer list,” said Bethany Ellis, senior vice president of human resources at Boingo. “Our success is rooted in hiring the best talent and having a culture that is creative, collaborative and on the cutting edge of technology. At a time when connectivity is more important than ever, we’re proud to deliver award-winning Wi-Fi to customers around the globe when it matters most.”
Earlier this year, Boingo opened a newly renovated office in Columbia, South Carolina. The office supports Boingo’s multifamily business, which provides managed Wi-Fi solutions for more than 2,200 residential communities across conventional apartments and student housing. The new space serves as an innovation and operations hub for engineers, project managers, customer service team members and more.
To determine the “Best Places to Work in South Carolina” list, nominated companies from across the state filled out a two-part survey. The first part assessed the company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to evaluate the workplace experience. This fourteenth annual program was created by SC Biz News in partnership with the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce and Best Companies Group.
