This software solution provides a complete and flexible Wi-Fi provisioning system for service providers. To ensure an open and standardized architecture throughout the industry, Boingo publishes all communications formats and interfaces used by the server. Service providers therefore have the option of either developing this provisioning functionality in-house or purchasing a turnkey solution directly from Boingo.
The Configuration Server can also be connected to the service provider’s internal AAA and billing systems (using RADIUS or similar protocols). This feature allows the service provider to provide credentials dependent upon specific user parameters (for example, username or device ESN/MSN – many other possibilities exist). In fact, the service provider even has the ability to customize the network footprint of each device, enabling two different subscriber pricing options. |
