Boingo Celebrates Biggest Year Ever For Carrier DAS Contracts

• Signs 30 Carrier Deals in First Half of 2015 • Hits Annual Carrier Contract Milestone in Six Months • DAS Demand From Tier One Carriers Continues to Expand

LOS ANGELES – July 14, 2015 – Boingo Wireless, Inc. (NASDAQ: WIFI), the leading DAS and Wi-Fi provider that serves consumers, carriers and advertisers worldwide, today announced that it has signed 30 long-term Distributed Antenna System (“DAS”) network access contracts with Tier One carriers for high traffic venues throughout the United States since the beginning of the year.

The new Tier One carrier deals include agreements to join eight new network builds, six new carrier additions to existing DAS networks and 16 new carrier DAS upgrade agreements at Boingo’s large-scale partner venues including major airports, sports and entertainment venues and transportation hubs.

“DAS has been a significant growth driver for Boingo in 2015,” said David Hagan, Chief Executive Officer of Boingo Wireless. “Our new multi-million dollar carrier network access deals have helped us achieve our biggest year ever for DAS contracts, and we’re only halfway through the year. With mobile data consumption projected to steadily increase over time, we are seeing strong interest from carriers to deploy and access DAS networks. Further, we’re seeing carrier capital expenditures rebound following last fall’s temporary slowdown.”

Mr. Hagan continued, “Our growing portfolio of DAS networks enable carriers to increase network densification, enhancing connectivity for their customers where they want it the most, on-the-go and in their leisure time. We look forward to continuing to expand our relationships with the Big Four Tier One carriers at our DAS venues and beyond.”

Boingo neutral host DAS networks are designed to provide a high performance wireless experience to all venue customers and staff, regardless of which carrier they use. The networks are built to meet the connectivity demands of tens of thousands of venue guests, and to scale to support projected increases in video and content consumption. Boingo designs, manages and operates DAS networks throughout the U.S., and works with venue partners to implement a technology agnostic approach to wireless service.
