LOS ANGELES, Dec. 20, 2018—Boingo Wireless (NASDAQ: WIFI) is giving travelers the holiday gift that keeps on giving with the launch of a new feature in its Wi-Finder app that offers free Wi-Fi. Whether streaming, gaming or holiday shopping online, travelers can now use Boingo Wi-Finder to easily connect to free, unlimited Wi-Fi at major U.S. airports.
“Wi-Finder has been a go-to app for locating hotspots, but now we’ve taken it one step further by making access to many of these hotspots free, just in time for the busy holiday travel season,” said Dawn Callahan, chief marketing officer, Boingo. “This new ad-supported Wi-Finder experience keeps airport passengers connected to the high-speed Wi-Fi they crave, while giving brands a platform for reaching a captive audience by sponsoring their most requested travel amenity: free Wi-Fi.”
Boingo Wi-Finder offers free Wi-Fi at over 30 major airports in the U.S., courtesy of advertisers. Consumers can purchase a one-day or monthly Boingo subscription for ad-free access to more than one million hotspots worldwide, at locations including airports, hotels, restaurants, cafés, and more. Boingo subscribers also benefit from Passpoint, a next generation hotspot technology that features public Wi-Fi encryption and streamlines connectivity by automatically connecting users to Wi-Fi without requiring a log-in or password.
