BOINGO EXPANDS ITS SWEDISH NETWORK WITH CLUE AB

Boingo Customers with Laptop or Mobile Accounts Will Be Able to Connect at More Than 300 Locations

Boingo, which offers consumers access to the largest network of Wi-Fi hotspots worldwide, is adding more than 300 Clue AB hotspot locations throughout Sweden.

The new locations include 7-Eleven and Pressbyrån convenience stores, allowing users to easily connect when they are on the go.

The addition of the 320 hotspots to the Boingo® Roaming Network in Sweden extends Boingo’s reach in the Nordic countries, and gives people more than 600 places to get online with their smartphones or laptop computers throughout the country.

“With the launch of the Clue network in Sweden, we’re giving our laptop and mobile users a high-capacity Wi-Fi network to be able to get online and do what they need,” said Luis Serrano, vice president of network strategy for Boingo Wireless. “For our Boingo Mobile customers, the Clue network is a perfect speedy solution for their Wi-Fi enabled smartphones to get directions, music, data and more while on the road.”

When a Boingo user is in Sweden and opens up a Web browser at a Clue hotspot (SSID: RoverRabbit), there will be two ways to log-on. The user can login using their Boingo credentials from the Rover Rabbit Web site, or sign in directly from Boingo’s software client.

“We realize that people want high-speed Wi-Fi both in and around their favorite place, and are really pleased to see that what we built is attractive to the biggest local mobile operator, as well as the most innovative and fast moving international service providers," said Jonas Melander, CEO and founder of Clue. "Telia Sonera's announcement the other week and today’s announcement with Boingo verifies our network quality and business model.”

Boingo gives consumers the best choice of Wi-Fi hotspots by combining more than 100,000 locations from 150 leading Wi-Fi operators into a single worldwide network spanning 90 countries.
