Accounting Manager

Boingo's Accounting Manager will have a minimum of 2-3 years of public accounting and minimum 6 years of combined accounting experience with a strong proven track record in managing personnel, general accounting, accounts receivable, monthly close process, and financial reporting. Essential duties and responsibilities include leading the month-end close process and maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger, including sub ledger to ledger reconciliations and account reconciliation's. This position reports to the Assistant Controller.

The Online Marketing Manager will develop and execute strategic online marketing programs to drive cost effective traffic and sales to Boingo.com.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop online campaigns and optimize sales for online channels including PPC, display advertising, email, and affiliate marketing.

RF Systems Engineer

The RF Systems Engineer is responsible for the execution of technical tasks as assigned and managed by the Director of RF Engineering. Tasks involve designing, maintaining, operating, integrating, and testing the company's owned & operated RF networks, with primary responsibility in the area of in-building cellular DAS networks. The position includes managing RF network configuration documentation, conducting break/fix support, test support, and test records. This position requires a diversified technical skill set and the strong understanding in cellular network technologies, particularly with in-building systems. Strong candidates are willing to be available on a 24hr basis and have the ability to work across various functional boundaries. This position may require travel outside of the United States - a passport will be required.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with design and maintenance in-building multi-carrier wireless networks in airports, tunnels, and other large venues managed by Concourse communications - including but not limited to cellular, PCS, iDEN, SMR, AWS, LTE, and WLAN systems.
  • Support project managers with integration and testing of in-building wireless networks and ensure documentation and monitoring of the networks are completed to internal and project-specific standards.
  • Work with Concourse/Boingo NOC, field operations managers, and carrier partner technical support staff to troubleshoot and repair network related issues within the wireless networks. This would also require being available as tier 2/tier 3 support after hours.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Education/Experience: 5+ years in telecommunications or Bachelor of Science in engineering related field.
  • Working knowledge of 2G-4G wireless protocols (e.g., 1xRTT, GPRS, EVDO, UMTS, LTE-MIMO, WiMAX).
  • Working knowledge of in-building wireless Distributed Antenna Systems.
  • Capable of discussing and writing about technical subjects with diverse audiences.
  • Must be capable of passing a 10-year FBI background check (for airport security badging purposes).
  • Ability to sort and resolve complex technical problems.
  • Knowledge of and ability to perform engineering computations and calculations.
  • Computer proficiency with MS Office and related software.

Systems Engineer / Administrator

The Systems Administrator/Engineer will be responsible for the operational infrastructure of Boingo's servers and systems infrastructure. The environment consists of numerous Linux systems, including storage hardware from Netapp, EMC, Hitachi and Dell. The SA/SE will work closely with operations staff, developers and Boingo management. In addition to supporting Boingo's Production environment 24x7, the SA/SE will also be responsible for assisting in maintaining the development and QA environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to learn and have a willingness to jump in and get things done in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Work cross-functionally within the Engineering and Operations organization to resolve problems, deploy and release new products and create solutions to provide world class service, solutions and support.
  • Assist in managing and supporting 300+ Linux servers that run Oracle, Apache, Tomcat, and custom services in a 24x7 environment.
  • Maintaining and updating systems and toolsets to improve security, stability, and manageability.
  • Superior technical skills around the Linux operating system, server virtualization, Linux networking, and apache web services.
