Director of Customer Acquisition and Retention

We’re looking for a Director of Customer Acquisition and Retention, who will help set the strategic direction of marketing programs in order to reach our revenue and subscriber goals. We’re growing like crazy and you will help ensure that growth trajectory continues!

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and executing customer acquisition programs through e-commerce (Walled Gardens), SEM/SEO, online, email, print, partnerships and affinity channels
  • Overseeing all facets of customer experience as it relates to sales and churn reduction, including product design, customer communication, Customer Lifetime Value (LTV) analysis, loyalty programs, partnerships, value-added services, Save Queue training, tools, and tracking, and Save Offer strategy
  • Developing fiscally sound offer strategies for customer acquisition, upgrades, downgrades and save offers

Senior Client Software Developer

The Senior Client Software Developer has the exciting opportunity to be part of a team that is developing a Wi-Fi SDK and client applications for widespread adoption. The individual is responsible for designing, implementing, testing, and documenting C++ code for laptop/mobile devices on Apple (MAC/iPhone) and other operating systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Interact with third party engineering efforts that consume the SDK and will need to effectively troubleshoot issues and participate in the process of integrating external bug fixes and feature implementations into the open source platform
  • The SDK is cross-platform and the candidate will need to be capable of rapidly adopting and incorporating new development environments and tools

Requirements:

Product Manager, User Experience for Client

In an effort to encourage the maximum use of its Wi-Fi services, Boingo offers complimentary smart client software on 10 different operating system versions. From the end user’s perspective, each Boingo software client, regardless of platform, is engineered to make get a user online quickly with a simple click of the "Login" button. Yet in order to provide this level of experience, a great deal of effort must be made to hide complexities inherent in our business.

The Product Manager - User Experience will have day-to-day responsibility for the product lifecycle for a sub-set of Boingo software clients (see next section for selected platforms). This individual will engage with all other departments of the company (including, Marketing, Engineering, Operations, Business Development, and Finance) to ensure that Boingo realizes maximum opportunity in the market from the distribution of smart clients on the given platforms. Additionally, this product manager will contribute to the ongoing evolution of the Boingo user experience by adding new features and adapting the software clients to be compatible with internal initiatives (such as Bundling, Free Networks, and Membership). The PM will also maintain the option for Boingo to offer unbranded versions of these clients to platform services partners.

Responsibilities:

  • The Product Manager - User Experience has the responsibility for managing, maintaining, and improving Boingo’s software clients for four (4) OS platforms:

    • PC (Win XP, Vista, Win 7)
    • MacOS (10.5 and 10.6)

  • This individual will be responsible for requirements gathering, PRD creation/approval, and project management related to the OS platforms noted in the above paragraph. Though the end customer may never have a business relationship with Boingo directly, these individuals will still be able to benefit from the worldwide footprint and service quality that forms the core of Boingo’s branded offerings.

Offering such a flexible and adaptable solution at a scale attractive to large telecommunications firms requires an attention to detail as well as a long-term perspective. The Product Manager - PSP/Special Initiatives will manage a wide-ranging portfolio of internal and external products/services to realize these goals.

This individual will engage with all other departments of the company (including, Marketing, Engineering, Operations, Business Development, and Finance) to ensure that Boingo is prepared to address the demands of Boingo’s existing PSP customers and potential partners. Additionally, this product manager will have responsibility to coordinate deliverables from other product managers within the team to ensure schedule and feature coordination.

    • Configuration Server and Configuration Manager

QA Billing Test Engineer

The Quality Assurance team is an integral part of the software delivery process at Boingo Wireless. We are looking for a Billing Test Engineer that will be responsible for testing Boingo’s Billing Systems, creating test plan and test case documents for new features, and maintain/update existing test documents, as well as, develop automation for testing billing systems. Furthermore, we are looking for an individual who speaks the language of the SDLC / QA SOP and has previously worked in a fast paced software development environment. This position will work closely with the Billing Development team to build, drive, and implement requirements for the Quality Assurance processes used during software releases and scheduled maintenance releases.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed test plans using requirements and design documents
  • Write and maintain reusable system test plans for each billing project
  • Plan and execute system testing for billing system upgrades, enhancements and bug fixes
