Accounting Manager
The Accounting Manager will bring a proven track record in general accounting, revenue recognition, accounts receivable, monthly close process, financial reporting, and managing personnel. This opportunity will appeal to someone who thrives in the fast paced, growing company and enjoys the challenges of laying a solid corporate foundation. Essential duties and responsibilities include leading the month-end close process and maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger, including sub ledger to ledger reconciliations and account reconciliations. This position reports to the Assistant Controller.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the general accounting department to ensure all transactions are accounted for in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Manage monthly close process.
- Manage quarterly and annual financial statement audits/reviews.
- Research accounting issues including interpretation and application of authoritative guidance.
- Manage Sarbanes-Oxley compliance for key business processes.
- Interact with accounting management regarding corporate financial matters.
- Drive discipline and accountability in the team.
- Work with external auditors.
- Manage 2 senior accountants.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive accounting experience with at least two years as an Accounting Manager.
- Minimum of 2 years in public accounting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- Must be a CPA.
- Knowledge and thorough understanding of US GAAP.
- Strong business acumen and logical problem solver.

We are looking to hire an Integrations Network Engineer to join our Roaming Network Operations team. You will engineer and manage technical integration deliverables with our Hot Spot Operator (HSO) partners throughout the APAC region.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the systems integration and certification process for assigned operators on a recurring and non-recurring basis.
- Work closely with the HSO's engineers and technical staff to ensure Boingo service quality across the roaming network.
- Own smart client and AAA root cause analysis and provide resolution for Tier 3 break/fix escalations.
- Identify issues and resolve such issues with integrations.
- Provide weekly status reports on integrations.
- Work cooperatively with multiple operators across various international time zones.
- Own roaming network quality assurance metrics and deliverables.
- Support build/certification of owned and operated networks.
- Travel up to 75% within the APAC region.
Requirements:
- B.S. Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 5-7 years of general and specific network integrations and network solutions engineering preferably in a service provider / roaming environment.
- 1-2 years experience with software smart client and roaming network access applications.
- 1-2 years of wireless (802.11b/g/n) networking experience.
- 1-2 years of various authentication and encryption technologies (IPSEC, VPNs, 802.1x).
- Working knowledge and understanding of networking technology (CCNA or above preferred).
- Expert knowledge in at least one Access Controller vendor product (Colubris, Nomadix, Aptilo, Aruba, etc.).
- Expert knowledge and understanding of RADIUS / AAA.
- Knowledge of PHP, HTML, HTTP and Javascript or similar scripting language.

The Network Engineer will assist with the design, provisioning, installation, operation, maintenance, and documentation of Boingo's Wireless Local Area Networks (WLANs) and Distributed Antenna Systems (DASs) installed predominately in airport venues in North America and growing worldwide. Located in Los Angeles, California, the employee filling this position will be a key member of Boingo's technical team. This position will support field staff on new and current WLAN and LAN systems and upgrades, and by supporting Network Operations and field staff with network maintenance/repair.
Responsibilities:
- Network engineering support for Concourse/Boingo current and future projects and venues.
- Creation and upkeep/management of in-house technical documentation packages for distribution to venues and for record keeping purposes.
- Assistance with design and technical review of new projects and/or project add-ons at current facilities.
- Support inter-operability testing of new equipment under evaluation for possible use in the Concourse/Boingo network.
- Technical support for Network Operations personnel in the resolution of problems on existing networks.
- Other technical support to assist the network engineering team with the timely completion of new builds.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 3 years experience in the computer networking field.

We are looking for a QA Engineer, Client who will be responsible for testing and automating our Smart Client products running on Windows, Mac, Android and iOS platforms for tablets, laptops, smart phones and other mobile devices.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute test plans based on requirement documents and design documents.
- Design, develop, maintain and automate regression, stress, and performance test suites.
- Participate in project meetings and provide feedback on all requirements and design documents.
- Manage ongoing test execution and test framework.
- Write detail bug reports and test reports and escalate issues to developers and management as necessary.
- Understand technical aspects of the software testing, debugging and analysis of results.
- Able to multi-task, triage issues, react well to changes, work independently or in a team setting in a fast paced environment.
Requirements:
- Bachelors of Science degree in computer science or related major.

The Quality Assurance team is an integral part of the software delivery process at Boingo Wireless. We are looking for a Billing Test Engineer that will be responsible for testing Boingo's Billing Systems, creating/updating test plan and test case documents for Billing features, as well as developing automation for testing billing systems. Furthermore, we are looking for an individual who speaks the language of the SDLC / QA SOP and has previously worked in a fast paced software development environment. This position will work closely with the Billing Development teams to build, drive, and implement requirements for the Quality Assurance processes used during software releases and scheduled maintenance releases.
Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed test plans using requirements and design documents.
- Write and maintain reusable system test plans for each billing project.
- Plan and execute system testing for billing system upgrades, enhancements and bug fixes.
- Maintain system test plan strategy, including functional integration and load/stress testing.
- Provide estimates of testing effort to support project planning.
- Automate Billing test cases using commercial and home grown automated tools.
- Work closely with project team members, including developers to prevent, report and resolve product defects.
- Support testing environment, including reset of system configuration.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Equivalent experience.
- 5+ years experience in a QA testing role in a software development environment.

The Systems Engineer will be responsible for the operational infrastructure of Boingo's servers and systems infrastructure. The environment consists of numerous Linux systems, including storage hardware from Netapp, Hitachi and Dell. The SE will work closely with operations staff, developers and Boingo management. In addition to supporting Boingo's Production environment 24x7, the SE will also be responsible for assisting in maintaining the development and QA environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to learn and have a willingness to jump in and get things done in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
- Work cross-functionally within the Engineering and Operations organization to resolve problems, deploy and release new products and create solutions to provide world class service, solutions and support.
- Assist in managing and supporting 300+ Linux servers that run Oracle, Apache, Tomcat, and custom services in a 24x7 environment.
- Must have experience with deployment and support of RedHat Enterprise Linux (or CentOS).
- Must have extensive experience administering large scale Linux deployments.
- Extensive understanding of proper Linux systems administration and management is required.
- Setting up and managing kickstart (automated provisioning) environments (by hand, or via Cobbler/Spacewalk/Satellite a plus.
- Maintaining and updating systems and toolsets to improve security, stability, and manageability.
- Superior technical skills around the Linux operating system, server virtualization, Linux networking, and apache web services.
- Proven proficiency in Perl or Python and Bash shell scripting a must.
- Oracle and/or MySQL experience a plus.
- VMWare vSphere/vCenter experience a plus.
- Supporting Boingo Wireless software development organization.
