Boingo Embedded Wi-Fi Toolkit
This highly portable, platform-independent middleware component provides the basis by which a device achieves connectivity on Wi-Fi networks. Released under open-source and commercial licenses, the Boingo Embedded Wi-Fi Toolkit provides a device manufacturer with a complete Wi-Fi detection, authentication, and management solution. Features include chipset management, authentication protocols, and support for the latest security mechanisms. A sophisticated profiling system gives the user the ability to access the Boingo Roaming Network, other public access points, as well as private home and corporate networks.
Boingo Configuration Server
The Boingo Configuration Server is used to configure the service provider's provisioning and configuration data to its subscribers’ handset devices. Through an easy-to-use browser-based interface, this server will communicate all required provisioning data to client devices. Such data includes user credentials, network detection parameters, connection control scripts, and other configuration parameters. The server is designed to be maintained and resident within a service provider’s own production environment. To ensure simple initial provisioning, devices will be initialized at the factory with the identity of the configuration server operated by the appropriate service provider.
