Accton Technology Integrates Boingo Embedded Wi-Fi Toolkit into VoIP Products

Accton Technology Corporation of Taiwan
is working to include the Boingo Embedded Wi-Fi Toolkit within its upcoming handset products. These next generation devices will employ SIP and other popular VoIP technologies to provide connectivity at home, work, Wi-Fi hotspots, and metro areas.





Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute Company Limited (ASTRI) adopts Boingo(R) Embedded for use in its Wi-Fi phone reference design.

The Boingo Embedded Wi-Fi Toolkit used by ASTRI enables handsets and other mobile devices to easily and transparently authenticate to Boingo's Wi-Fi hotspots worldwide. Users will be able to turn on their devices and enjoy a broadband Wi-Fi connection when in range of any Boingo Hot Spot at over 100,000 commercial hotspots around the world.



Belkin Integrates Skype Wi-Fi enabled phones with Boingo Embedded Wi-Fi Toolkit

Belkin, a global leader in connectivity solutions that provide seamless electronics integration at home or on the go, has already released its Skype Wi-Fi enabled phone with the Boingo Embedded Wi-Fi Toolkit included. This device allows Boingo users to instantly connect and to make unlimited calls over the entire Boingo network for one low monthly rate.



BridgePort Networks Demonstrates Interoperability with Boingo Embedded Architecture

BridgePort Networks has demonstrated interoperability between its NomadicONE Network Convergence Gateway and the Boingo Embedded Wi-Fi Toolkit on multiple occasions, including 3GSM World Congress 2006 (Barcelona, Spain) and CTIA 2006 (Las Vegas, Nevada). Service providers leveraging a combined solution from BridgePort and Boingo will be able to provide their subscribers an easy-to-use, yet full-featured fixed mobile convergence experience.





Broadcom Corporation Adopts Boingo's Wi-Fi Roaming Solution to Simplify Device Design for Handset Manufacturers

Broadcom Corporation has already begun using Boingo Embedded architecture code to enhance the user experience on devices employing its PhonexChange software. Handset manufacturers can therefore go to market with seamless Wi-Fi roaming by simply designing a handset using Broadcom's Wi-Fi ASICs.

E28 Limited Becomes First Linux Handset Vendor Using Boingo Embedded Wi-Fi Toolkit

E28, a leader in the development of dual-mode smartphones, has successfully ported the Boingo Embedded Wi-Fi toolkit for its exciting new handset designs featuring Wi-Fi. Kineto Wireless and Boingo Will Ensure Full Interoperability for UMA Implementations

Kineto and Boingo are working to enable service providers with a global public Wi-Fi hotspot footprint where mobile voice, data, and IMS services will be readily available to subscribers. Initially this development will focus on UMA-compatible Windows Mobile 5-based devices.





Boingo and Kyocera Develop Wi-Fi Handsets for Use in Public Hot Spots

At CTIA 2006, Kyocera and Boingo demonstrated a prototype version of their popular Slider Remix device that includes the Boingo Embedded Wi-Fi Toolkit. Kyocera’s products feature the BREW platform and allow CDMA operators to bring dual-mode handsets to market with seamless Wi-Fi hotspot connectivity.
