Now - more than ever – is the time to galvanize and empower individuals to affect meaningful personal changes toward a sustainable future. Earth Day Network is poised to help bring to fruition the domestic and international public’s desire to participate, as individuals, in what might become historic advances in climate policy.

How? With a campaign for a leaner, greener generation– the first-ever “Green Generation.” In keeping with Earth Day Network’s goal to broaden the environmental movement, the “Green Generation” is open to everyone – regardless of age, race, creed or country of origin. Want to join? Here are the ground rules: In order to be considered a member of the “Green Generation,” you must aspire to the following goals:

• A carbon-free future, based on renewable energy, which will end our common dependency on fossil fuels.
• An individual's commitment to a responsible, sustainable lifestyle.
• Corporate and government commitments to the creation of a new green economy that creates sustainable products and quality green jobs and transforms the global industrial system into a green one.

Be one of a billion and help us create a billion acts of green – make the pledge to a sustainable lifestyle as part of The Green Generation. Any green action you take, be it changing your light bulbs, recycling, cleaning up a local creek or eating sustainably, counts toward our goal of a billion acts of green for The Green Generation.

Our mission is to advocate for the protection, enhancement and restoration of Wisconsin’s rivers and watersheds. Our membership is comprised of over 3,200 individual, organizational and business members. They are urban, rural and retired; anglers, paddlers and lovers of water. Some of our business members make their living from rivers, some run restaurants. Our members’ common interest is their passion for rivers and the inspiration they bring.”
