October is one of my favorite months with the Exceeding Expectations kids.  As you all know, our top priority for the kids is, and always will be, education. That said, every October we participate in two athletic events that I feel are significant in laying the groundwork necessary for them to be successful in the academic world and in their adult lives.  The first of these events is the Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF) triathlon, aptly called “The Best Day in Triathlon.” Here’s a brief overview from their website:  “In 1994, three friends started a triathlon fundraiser to help one man regain his independence after a tragic accident left him a quadriplegic. Despite its reputation as one of the most expensive cities in the world, London does feature some great sights that are free for the taking. Notable places on the list that do not charge for admission include: British Museum, home to the Rosetta Stone Houses of Parliament, home to the House of Commons and the House of Lords National Gallery, which includes artwork by Van Gogh, Renoir, Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo Tate Modern’s permanent collection, which includes works by Pollock, Warhol, Rodin and Matisse Wallace Collection, which is “stuffed with 17th- and 18th-century art works” Most of the Hawaiian Islands were not damaged from the recent tsunami in Japan, so — as Governor Neil Abercrombie declared — Hawaii is open for business! Introducing: Boingo Wi-Finder!

We’re super excited to share the news that today we’re launching our best app yet – Boingo Wi-Finder! As you know, Boingo software has always made it easy to get online at paid hotspots around the world.   Now we’re expanding that capability to find and get you connected to FREE hotspots, too!  Boingo Wi-Finder quickly connects you to open networks worldwide, like the free Wi-Fi at your neighborhood library or even an exotic coffee shop in a far-away land. Simply select “Connect” when Boingo Wi-Finder pops and you’re in. We’ve also added map and search tools that can find the nearest hotspot. And even cooler — the app automatically grabs information about free hotspots you connect to – like location and speed – and then publishes that information to the Location Database.  The more people use the app, the better the Location Directory gets.  (So tell your friends!)  You can even add your favorite free hotspot directly here. We think Boingo Wi-Finder is our coolest app yet – here’s just a sample of what’s under the hood!
