Never have I taken on responsibility like this before. But while I write in sadness as my internship comes to a close, I am happy to report that I have truly come a long way. I have learned so much this summer at Boingo, not only about marketing and the workplace in general, but about myself. Aside from individual projects and assignments that I’ve gained tremendous experience from, perhaps the most captivating part has been witnessing how the business comes together through meticulous collaboration and teamwork. A prime example of this was the Hackathon, a marathon style event that saw engineers team up with marketers and HR specialists join forces with finance gurus in an attempt to create an idea that could catapult the business forward. I was able to be a part of it by acting as an ambassador, along with Spencer Johnson, with whom I forged a friendship throughout the event that kept us at the office well beyond normal work hours.
