Tips For Using Boingo Wi-Finder on Apple iOS Devices


If you own an Apple iOS device, we hope you check out our new app, Boingo Wi-Finder. It’s a  powerful Wi-Fi tool that helps you locate free and Boingo hotspots at thousands of locations around the globe. If you have a paid Boingo account, Wi-Finder connects you at 325,000 Boingo global locations — all with just one tap of a button. Here’s a feature summary of Boingo Wi-Finder for the Apple iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch: Location-mapping that displays hotspots nearby or at another destination through search. Blue pins represent free locations, and red pins present Boingo locations. Hotspot notification when a Boingo hotspot is detected (note: in order to see this notification, Wi-Fi must be turned on and Wi-Finder must be launched). Crowdsource platform that tracks success and speed of connects, so good open networks can be re-published to the Boingo Location Directory. So the more feedback you send us, the more data we have. Compatibility with iOS 3.0 and above. A few tips on using Wi-Finder for Apple iOS: Due to Apple API restrictions (i.e., third-party developers cannot access certain software layers of the iOS platform), Boingo Wi-Finder doesn’t have the exact same functionality it does on other
