We spent the U.S. Fourth of July holiday at the Home Depot Center, where we watched a great soccer match between the LA Galaxy and Seattle Sounders. The Home Depot Center is extra special to us because it’s a Boingo-managed hotspot! We got online with our iPhone, iPad and Android smartphone to upload video clips to Facebook, watch replays on ESPN and send photos to our friends. If you’re flying through Austin airport, consider yourself lucky because it’s an all-around awesome airport! Some of our favorite amenities include: Salt Lick Bar-B-Que, located at the West Concourse. The airport location is a smaller but no less delicious version of the family-owned restaurant in Driftwood, a short drive from Austin. Amy’s Ice Creams, located at the West Concrouse. Amy’s is a Texas favorite, with locations in San Antonio, Houston and Austin. Get a scoop (or two) and you’ll understand why Amy’s ice cream has won so many awards. Art exhibit, located at the Barbara Jordan Terminal. We love treating ourselves to a walk-through of the art gallery, which portrays “literal and symbolic references to the region’s geography, landmarks, history, diverse cultures, and the spirit of the people.” Live music performances, located in the center of the terminal building on the concourse level. There’s always music in the air at Austin Airport, thanks to the talented musicians that take the stage. It makes us want to hang around at the airport for hours!

Denise and Mark Thomas are on pace to go down in Guinness World Record history. Their feat? They have exchanged wedding vows eighty-five times at eight-five different locations around the world — and all within the span of six months. Now that’s commitment! Denise, a native Australian, met Englishman Mark while she was working in London. The couple fell in love and decided to tie the knot…in a very unconventional way. Denise and Mark were chosen out of 30,000 couple-applicants by travel company Runaway Bride and Groom to “test” wedding and honeymoon locations around the world. As The Official Honeymooners, Denise and Mark weren’t just drinking champagne and feeding each other cake for six months straight. The couple’s official job was to document their experiences at each of the wedding and honeymoon venues. This meant daily blog updates, hundreds of photos, hours of video and countless tweets — not to mention the various challenges they faced navigating their way through unfamiliar languages and cultures.
