When it comes to packing for vacation, which items are on your can’t-leave-home-without list? Would it surprise you to learn that Americans ranked smartphones as the most important travel item after passports?

According to a global survey, U.S. travelers ranked smartphones above sunscreen, swimwear, sunglasses, and even deodorant!

Today’s travelers are more dependent than ever on their mobile devices, which serve as an all-in-one concierge, guide and companion on trips. In related news, a separate survey revealed that free Wi-Fi continues to be the number one hotel amenity for both leisure and business travelers.
