Most of you have probably heard of Gary Arndt — the man behind @EverywhereTrip — and feasted your eyes upon his scores of stunning travel photos. What you may not know is that he’s a long-time Boingo superfan and travel superhero.
In a recent conversation with Gary, we discussed how he had used Boingo all over the world. Gary tried to guess how much Boingo he’d used through the years, so we agreed to look into it for him! After taking a detailed look at his usage since January 2011, we found some really impressive stuff. Try some of these tidbits on for size:
- Gary has logged into Boingo Wi-Fi 371 times in 19 countries and counting, from the US to Spain to Hong Kong.
- He’s tallied 27,725 total minutes on Boingo Wi-Fi networks. That’s an average of 33 minutes a day.
In addition to Boingo’s own hotspots (SSID: Boingo Hotspot), Gary has used a lot of our partner networks to stay connected. He’s accessed 36 partner networks that helped him stay connected all over the world! His top five networks are: BT Openzone (UK), Kubi Wireless (Spain), M3 Connect (Germany), T-Mobile (US), and Telmex (Mexico), and those are just the top of the list.
Gary is a prime example of how globetrotting travelers can stay connected with Boingo’s worldwide network of hotspots. Thanks for being one of our biggest fans and most avid users. Your feedback and “superusage” helps us provide excellent service to our customers. Way to go, Gary!
