  • Check out the newly launched Expedia app for iPhone! According to various news sources, the free app will also be available on additional smartphones (e.g., Android) and tablets in a few weeks. According to the New York Times, the Expedia app “uses the device’s location-based service to search hotel availability, but travelers can also input a destination. The results are displayed on an interactive map or in list form. Each hotel listing includes a slide show tour, along with its features and star rating. Once the hotel is booked, the details can be shared via e-mail or text, and added to the device’s calendar.” Download the free app here.
  • Take yourself to a summer ballgame with AirTran Airway’s baseball special! The airlines is offering discounted airfare to and from various destinations in the U.S., including: Atlanta to Washington, D.C. $198, Baltimore to Boston $86, San Francisco to Jacksonville $308. Book by April 14, 2011 for travel through November 2, 2011. A ten-day advance purchase is required and blackout dates apply. (Via Frommer’s)
  • Anyone like the sound of a 12-night cruise in the Mediterranean? Royal Caribbean International is offering a tour by sea of Italy, Greece and Turkey starting as low as $899 per person (not including airfare). Travel dates are  May 11 through May 23,  2011. (Via Fodor’s)
  • Do Miami the way you’re supposed to and stay in a luxurious beachfront hotel. Travel site has the scoop on some great hotel and resort deals starting at only $89. Book by April 15, 2011. (Via AOL Travel)
  • If you’ve had your eye on a trip to France, now is the time to do it! AirFrance is offering discounted roundtrip fares starting at $309 to Paris, Nice or Marseilles.
