A hearty congratulations to for winning the Mashable Awards category for Best Social Media Customer Service (be sure to watch the big reveal and acceptance speech in the video below)! Eurail.Com sells Eurail train passes online to folks traveling all over Europe (I have personally used the service and it’s great). Three years ago, the company launched Facebook and Twitter accounts as a way to offer personal travel advice and customer service. Clearly, the company’s superb work is much appreciated from customers all over the world. Kudos to!

I had the honor of representing Boingo as a finalist at the Mashable Awards Gala. The event last Thursday in Las Vegas was quite classy – a geek version of the Oscars – and it was a great opportunity to meet some of the finest folks in social media. While we didn’t take home the title, the Boingo team and I were already ecstatic we made it as a top five finalist – and we have YOU, the Boingo community, to thank.

A million thank you handshakes and hugs to you for your support and votes. It’s been heartwarming to see our community rallying behind Boingo – y’all are a spirited and vociferous bunch! We’re motivated to continue providing you with fast, reliable Wi-Fi supplemented by helpful, responsive customer care. We’re also, as always, open to your suggestions for improving our services.
