Suite Arrival Gives You a Personalized Hotel Welcome

As we all know, traveling is not as easy as it used to be. In addition to the “traditional” hassles of flight delays and lost luggage, we’re now faced with a multitude of restrictions, rules and fees. Perhaps the biggest travel inconvenience is the baggage conundrum: go light with a carry-on and prepare to fight for overhead bin space, or check your baggage and pay up. And good luck if you’re on an extended trip because you’ll likely have to deal with both scenarios — this was my predicament a few weeks ago for a week-long trip to New York City. But I discovered a special travel strategy, and it’s called Suite Arrival.

Suite Arrival is a travel service that ships TSA-sized personal care products to your hotel so it’s waiting for you by the time you arrive. All you have to do is visit their site before your trip, select the necessary products (choose a pre-packaged or customized kit), and provide the hotel’s shipping information. I ordered the Organic Arrival kit( for under $20 plus $5.99 for shipping), which includes: hair gel, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, shaving cream, a razor, lotion and toothpaste. This eliminated the need for a carry-on and saved me from going to the drugstore before or during my trip to pick up travel-sized toiletries.

You can also include organic snacks in your order so you don’t have to forage from the selection of overpriced, unhealthy snacks in the hotel mini-bar. The tasty snacks included in my Suite Arrival package — dried mango and pineapple, almonds with cranberries, and cashews with pecans — kept me energized between business meals.

But Suite Arrival isn’t just about a lighter travel load, breezing through airport security and snacks. It’s also about moral support. Because let’s face it: traveling solo can be lonely, and it’s comforting to have a package of goodies waiting for you when you arrive. When I landed in New York, I was weary and already hankering for my own bed. But seeing that Suite Arrival care package when I first entered my hotel room was like getting a warm, personal welcome.

Currently, Suite Arrival ships only with the United States, but CEO Michael Lewis informed me that the company is in discussions with a major carrier about taking Suite Arrival overseas. Lewis also added that the company will continue to expand the number of products and brands offered through Suite Arrival, with an average of fifteen new items added each week to the site. This is great news given there aren’t a whole lot of boutique brands included today.

For the frequent traveler who’s looking to trim down on as many travel hassles and discomforts as possible, Suite Arrival is a great value. The $26 I spent was well worth it for me, and I’m looking forward to more specialty brands being added to the selections.
